Many trees have this fammily group incorrect. There are 2 Thomas Rices in the county - one son of Francis Rice (Y-DNA shows Francis is not part of the Thomas & Marcy family group) and one a son of Matthew Rice. All the following records from Prince Edward Co clarify which of the two Thomas Rices is Matthew's son. Each married in this period. Matthew's Thomas' wife is Nancy Drake Taylor - not Susanna Bigger.Thomas and Zachariah bought land together Land Book 11 page 378 (1799).
